TIMax® CA, transparent thermal insulation (TTI) for solar collectors
TIMax® CA is a transparent honeycomb structure with optimized light transmission, used in horizontal transparent thermal insulation for solar storage collectors or for light diffusion in light bands and domes. The good thermal insulation is achieved by an air cushion created by air trapped in the honeycomb cells.
• Very high transparency/translucency
• U-value of 1.0 W/m²K for 80 mm honeycomb thickness
• Very good UV stability
• Temperature stable to 140°C (short-term), 100°C long-term
• Visually appealing, partial transparency possible

TIMAX® CA, TRANSPARENT HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE WITH EXCELLENT LIGHT TRANSLUCENCY
TIMax® CA is a transparent honeycomb structure with optimized light transmission. As a result the TIMax® CA honeycomb with 80mm thickness has a higher light transmission than 4 mm thick glass. Due to this high light transmission, TIMax® CA honeycomb structures are often used in transparent horizontal thermal insulation for solar storage collectors or for light scattering in skylight panels and domes.
The TIMax® CA honeycomb is made of a special CA plastic material with excellent thermal insulation properties. TIMax® CA achieves its very good insulating properties through an air cushion created by the air trapped in the honeycomb cells. The use of a special plastic materials enable the absorption of infrared light, so that heat loss is minimized. The honeycomb wall thickness is very thin to prevent thermal bridges. The plastic is UV stable, temperature stable and environmentally friendly since it is made from renewable raw materials. A special flame-retardant version/design is also available.
